Service Policies
Introduction

Thank you for selecting MunAuto as your preferred platform for seasonal tire exchange services. This Service Policy outlines the terms and conditions that govern services, payments, and refunds on MunAuto's website (referred to as MunAuto Oy or simply MunAuto). MunAuto's technology enables car owners (referred to as Customers) to place orders for seasonal car tire services, including tire change, tire storage, and tire wash or cleaning. It's important to note that MunAuto is not a mechanic workshop, tire hotel, or tire service garage. Instead, we aggregate services from various workshops in your city and nearby cities, presenting them to you for your selection. These workshops are referred to as Partner Workshops in this document. By utilizing our platform, you agree to abide by the following service provision policy:

MunAuto acts as an intermediary connecting car owners (Customers) with car tire shops (Workshops) to facilitate the seasonal tire change service. The Partner Workshops share information about their services on the MunAuto Application. This includes details about service characteristics, duration, cost, delivery time, and addresses. Partner Workshops are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, and legal compliance of this information, including providing details on prices as required by law. Please be aware that specific terms and conditions may apply to the sale and purchase of Partner Workshops services. All prices quoted at the point of payment are in the local currency and include applicable sales taxes unless otherwise stated.

The Partner Workshops are also solely responsible for the content, quality, safety od the services sold through the MunAuto Software. The Partner Workshops are solely liable for defects in the contents, preparation, delivery of the Order, or other shortcomings in the performance of the Purchase Agreement. MunAuto does not assume responsibility for Partner Workshops-provided information on the MunAuto Service and does not offer warranties on product availability, quality, or suitability. They have statutory defect liability as per applicable laws. Customers should inspect the Services performed upon deliveery and report defects or quality issues promptly to MunAuto's customer service or directly to the Partner Workshops. Notices of defects should be made within a reasonable time from detection, not later than 7 days after the service is performed. MunAuto or the Partner Workshops may request a picture of the defective service for documentation. In case of defects or non-conformity, Customers are entitled to reimbursement according to applicable laws.

The Partner Workshops reserves the right to update prices without prior notice. However, once a Customer books a service at a particular Workshop and receives the booking confirmation, the price remains unchanged until after the service is performed.

Customers are required to pay for services to Workshops through MunAuto's secure payment gateways. To use the MunAuto Service, Customers must provide valid credit card or payment method information. MunAuto does not store payment information; this is handled by third-party payment service providers such as Clearhaus - Mastercard and Visa, Quickpay, Mobilepay, and Trustly. Customers agree to pay for all purchases made through the MunAuto Service App.

Making the Order:After selecting a partner workshop and offered services, the Customer choses a date and time for the service delivery and makes a binding purchase on the services from the Partner Workshop on the terms and conditions presented to the Customer. After having received the Order, MunAuto will transmit the details of the Order to the Partner Workshop. MunAuto will provide the Customer with a receipt on behalf of the Partner Workshop. The fulfilment of the Order is subject to availability, and MunAuto reserves a right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or not to accept an Order. MunAuto charges the Customer a tax inclusive surcharge for the service and to cover for all payment processing, in addition to the total cost of the order and the sales tax due to the workshop.

Service Day: On the appointment day, the Customer is expected to navigate to the Workshop using the address provided on the order detail on their profile or emailed receipt. At the Partner Workshop location, the Customer is expected to be served on the appointment time according to the service purchased. MunAuto is not ultimately liable for the services provided by Partner Workshop, however MunAuto may facilitate any compensation to Customer for service complaints.

The appointment times provided by Partner Workshops are not exact, although they should not vary significantly. While there is no assurance that the service will be performed at the exact time indicated in your receipt or at the time of purchase, the delivery times may be influenced by factors like challenging tyre bolt/nuts and weather conditions. Partner Workshops can specify a maximum allowable delay time before rendering the service. If this specified delay time is exceeded, the Customer has the right to reject the service and request a refund. Any such refund will cover the total amount paid by the Customer, including VATs and surcharges.

After placing an order and completing the payment for our services, you are generally unable to withdraw from or cancel the order, unless explicitly permitted by this Service Policy. It is crucial to carefully review your choices before confirming an order. If you miss the appointment on the scheduled day, no compensation or rescheduling shall be offered. Nevertheless, we understand that circumstances may change, and customers have the option to reschedule appointments or make alterations to dates, times, or workshops. This flexibility is available up to 24 hours before the initially scheduled service delivery time.

Refunds:You have the right to cancel the purchased service and request a full or partial refund within 7 days from the day of service delivery. This right applies if it's conclusively proven that the provided service doesn't match its description or was delivered beyond the agreed appointment time, including any potential delay communicated by the Partner Workshop. To initiate the refund process, notify MunAuto of your decision by sending a clear email to: vroom@munauto.fi within the 7-day timeframe.

Surcharge Refund:The Partner Workshop, acting as the service provider on your order, has granted MunAuto the authority to receive revocation notifications on their behalf. If your claim is deemed valid, MunAuto will issue a full or partial refund based on the collective decision of all involved parties. Any surcharges paid for the service provided by MunAuto will be included in such refunds.

Refund Medium:Refunds will be processed using the same payment method you utilized for the original purchase of your order, unless an alternative arrangement has been expressly agreed upon.

Customers have the flexibility to reschedule appointments if they realize they won't be available within 24 hours of the appointment time. If a customer pays for a service but fails to arrive on time, no refunds will be issued. The rescheduled order allows changes to any or all of the workshop, date, and time. When rescheduling, customers can choose from the available appointment times of the initially selected workshop or opt for another workshop's available date and times. If a new workshop is selected with a higher service charge, the customer must pay the price difference for the rescheduled time. Conversely, if the new workshop offers cheaper services, MunAuto will refund the excess amount paid for the initial service to the customer's MunAuto account for future purchases.

In certain instances, variations in the manufacturing country of a car model may result in original tyre sizes differing from the expected sizes in MunAuto car tyre database. Additionally, customers, particularly car enthusiasts, might have replaced their car tyres with sizes that deviate from the original equipement manufacturer specifications (OE).

If the workshop distinguishes between prices for small and large tyres, the customer is obligated to pay any difference when the initially paid-for tyre size is found to be smaller. Conversely, if the paid-for tyre is discovered to be larger, it is the customer's responsibility to promptly notify the workshop. The workshop will then acknowledge the difference and initiate a refund to the customer's MunAuto account, which can be used for future purchases.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to use the MunAuto Service as provided by us for the purposes outlined in these terms. To access the MunAuto Service, you must create a user account following the registration instructions. Each customer is allowed only one personal user account. If there is any suspicion of unauthorized access or disclosure of account credentials, you must promptly notify MunAuto. You are responsible for all activities and use of the MunAuto Service under your user account.

While using the MunAuto Service, you may come across content or information that could be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading, illegal, offensive, or otherwise harmful. MunAuto generally does not review content provided by Partner Workshops and is not responsible for third-party (including partners') content, information, or any damages resulting from its use or reliance.

The Customer Organization is responsible for acquiring and maintaining the necessary devices or equipment (e.g., telephones) and connections for accessing and using the MunAuto Service, along with any associated charges.

MunAuto reserves the right to immediately remove or suspend a customer from the MunAuto Service and/or reject or cancel any orders if:

  • (i) the customer abuses the service or causes harm to its use, partner workshops, or MunAuto's employees,
  • (ii) there is a reasonable belief of fraudulent acts,
  • (iii) false orders or failure to comply with obligations arise,
  • (iv) doubt about the correctness or authenticity of the order, or
  • (v) engaging in inappropriate behavior, as determined by MunAuto, towards partner workshops or MunAuto's employees.
  • If MunAuto cancels a paid order, the amount will be refunded through the same medium of payment.

This Service Policy serves as a binding agreement between MunAuto and the Customer, remaining in effect until further notice as long as the Customer utilizes the MunAuto Service. The Customer retains the right to cease using the MunAuto Service at any time. Simultaneously, MunAuto reserves the right to permanently or temporarily discontinue providing the MunAuto Service at its discretion. Temporary suspensions of the MunAuto Service may also occur.

Although MunAuto strives to deliver a reliable platform and services, it does not make any promises or guarantees regarding the reliability, functionality, timeliness, quality, or suitability of the MunAuto Service, its features, or any service provided by MunAuto. Any assurances not explicitly outlined in this Service Policy are not provided by MunAuto.

MunAuto reserves the right to change or update this service policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on our website, and the revised policy will enter into force immediately after publication. By using MunAuto's platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted this payment and refund policy. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically for updates or changes. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our platform. This Service Policy is an integral part of MunAuto's Terms of Use.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. If you are a consumer, please be aware that your rights, as granted by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of domicile, cannot be waived. Disputes arising from these Terms of Service will be resolved by the competent courts of the country where the User is located. A consumer, however, always has the option to initiate proceedings in the competent court of their domicile. If you are an EU-based Customer, MunAuto and you may also utilize the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform managed by the European Commission for dispute resolution. This platform is accessible at ec.europa.eu/odr. Additionally, you have the option to refer a dispute to the consumer disputes board or other corresponding out-of-court institution in your domicile. For example, the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board in Finland can be reached at kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta.
